6 Steps to Prepare to List Your House

More than half of the homeowners in our market are not aware of the simple and easy steps to improve the appearance and value of their home, especially before listing it with a licensed REALTOR® like me.

  • TACKLE that TO-DO List.  Do the least favorite things on the list first, that way the bottom of the list will be easier and quicker.

  • COMBAT CLUTTER.  If you have not used it, worn it, etc., donate it, sell it or throw it out!  Less is more when selling a house.

  • PAINT.  A gallon of paint goes a long way in brightening up a room and making it feel fresh and clean. 

  • FIRST IMPRESSIONS are everything.  Curb appeal is VERY important.  Plant flowers, pick up yard debris, a fresh coat of paint, even a power washing of driveway and walkways.  You never can do too much to make a first impression.

  • DO RESEARCH on Realtors.  Make sure you choose someone you can trust and work with on a daily basis.  It is a business relationship!

  • LOOK FORWARD to your home sale journey and relax, it you do these few things your house will sell quicker and for more $$$$.
